A symbol of Qatari creativity, Al Thumama Stadium is beyond hosting world-class football tournaments. It has become a bustling community hub for various sports like handball, volleyball, basketball and swimming. Running and cycling tracks wind through the area alongside retail and commercial units.
Al Thumama Stadium is a symbol of Qatari creativity, designed by architect Ibrahim Mohammed Jaidah. It draws inspiration from traditional headwear, the gahfiya. The construction began in 2017, and the stadium officially opened in late 2021.
