Qatar Foundation Herfah program at Al Khater House Qatar

Discover the rich heritage of Qatari and Islamic crafts through the Herfah program at Al Khater House.

The rich tradition of artistic crafts developed in the Arab and Islamic world represents an invaluable cultural legacy. The program aims to nurture these timeless traditions and cultivate a deeper connection to heritage and cultural identity.

The immersive 1-year program, which started in October 2024, is held at Al Khater House — a unique heritage site at the heart of Education City — and delivered by The King’s Foundation School of Traditional Arts, renowned for their expertise in the teaching and preservation of traditional crafts.

While registration for the 1-year program is now closed, we are pleased to offer a special series of Ramadan workshops, including one-week immersive courses, daily drop-in workshops, and community projects every weekend. These workshops provide an opportunity for participants to engage in traditional crafts, celebrate the artistic heritage of the Islamic world, and take part in creative activities throughout the holy month.
