Qatar to Host Final Three Matches of the 2025 FIFA Confederations Cup

FIFA announced on Friday that Qatar will once again host the final three matches of the 2025 FIFA Confederations Cup, marking the second consecutive year the Gulf nation has staged the tournament’s concluding fixtures.

According to FIFA’s official statement, the tournament is set to kick off on September 14 with a highly anticipated clash between Egypt’s Pyramids FC — winners of the CAF Champions League — and Auckland City FC, the champions of Oceania.

The spotlight will then shift to Qatar in December for the decisive stages of the competition. The first of the three matches to be played in Qatar is scheduled for December 10, featuring the Copa Americas showdown between Mexico’s Cruz Azul (CONCACAF champions) and the eventual champions of South America, who are yet to be determined.

The semi-final match will take place on December 13, pitting the winner of the Cruz Azul vs. South American champion match against the victor of the fixture between Saudi Arabia’s Al Ahli and the winner of the opening Pyramids FC vs. Auckland City match.

The tournament will culminate with the grand final on December 17, when European champions Paris Saint-Germain will face off against the winner of the semi-final match to determine the 2025 FIFA Confederations Cup champion.
