Team Qatar launches unified volunteer platform for major sporting events

Team Qatar on February 2, 2026 officially launched a dedicated online platform to streamline volunteering opportunities for upcoming sporting events and international championships in Qatar.

The initiative aims to connect thousands of residents with organized volunteer roles and strengthen community participation in the country’s expanding sports landscape.

The platform, accessible at Apply , has been developed under the guidance of the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC). It provides a single gateway for registration, training, and accreditation of volunteers who wish to contribute to world-class tournaments hosted in Qatar.

Currently, volunteering opportunities are open for several major events, including the QOC Half Marathon 2026, the 4th GCC Games Doha 2026, the 2027 FIBA Basketball World Cup, the 2029 FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship, and the prestigious 2030 Asian Games.

According to organizers, the new system will simplify the recruitment process and ensure better coordination between event authorities and volunteers. Participants will receive professional training, event experience, and the chance to be part of Qatar’s legacy in global sports hosting.

The launch of this platform reflects Qatar’s long-term commitment to developing a strong volunteer culture and engaging diverse communities in the successful delivery of international sporting events.
