Qatar will host Group A matches of the Women’s Asian Cup 2026 qualifiers from July 7 to 19, after the tournament was relocated from Jordan due to escalating tensions between Iran and Israel, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) announced.⁠ Photo: Khalifa International Stadium, Qatar (Md Nahid Islam/ Photographer). The qualifiers were relocated due to “ongoing situation in the region and logistical concerns raised by several participating member associations,” the Football Association of Singapore said in a separate statement.⁠ Jordan, Iran, Lebanon, Singapore and Bhutan were initially set to compete in the Jordanian capital of Amman from June 23 to July 5. “Further details regarding the venue and match timings to be confirmed in due course,” the AFC added.
